April’s Osprey Festival has prompted member artists to present images of their fine feathered friends in this month’s bird themed show. Also, enjoy hand made jewelry, baskets, pottery, glass works, photography, and paintings in all media. Additionally, Carl and Joyce Thor, of Jarrett Thor Fine Arts, continue to display original paintings and their collection of decorative minerals.

Artists’ Alliance (AA) is hosting Bird Themed Art Shows in support of the first annual Colonial Beach Osprey Festival. All are invited to the opening reception from 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 12.

Female Cardinal by Artists’ Alliance’s April Featured Artist Bonnie Murray (collagraph)

Talented featured artist, Bonnie Murray, displays a collection of collographs (prints) featuring wild bird art. Her collographs are derived from printing or hand coloring images on top of textured backgrounds that result in beautifully mottled effects. Each print is hand pulled individually and is an original piece of work. Bonnie has displayed her work all across the country in numerous exhibits.
