A fundraiser for the Museum at Colonial Beach, the annual Colonial Beach House Tour is scheduled for Saturday, December 8. Participants can arrive at the Museum at 5:30 pm for an Open House/Tour and refreshments, then depart via trolley, bus, van or their own vehicle at 6 pm.
Sponsored by the Colonial Beach Historical Society, the House Tour was started by community resident Betty Whitestone 18 years ago, as a way to celebrate the season and showcase some of the stunningly decorated homes in Town.
Each year, the tour features 5 different houses and one church, this year being Colonial Beach Baptist Church. Space is limited to 80 participants, who will be divided up to allow for ample touring of each property.
Tickets are $20 per person; $18 for Society members. Purchase at the Museum of Colonial Beach, located at the corner of Washington and Hawthorne streets, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. or call Betty Whitestone 804-224-8619 or Jean Conaty 804-214-9508 for reservations. If not sold out, tickets may be available at the Museum on the day of the tour.
