Virtual Event: Tobacco Culture & Pipes in the Colonial Era

Justin Fornal takes us on a smokey journey into the culture, etiquette, and craft of colonial pipes. Learn why the clay pipe is one of the most commonly found artifacts at colonial-era archaeology sites. Justin will also explain how tobacco became so valuable in colonial Virginia that for a period of time it actually served as currency.

ABOUT JUSTIN FORNAL:
Justin Fornal is an international explorer and award-winning writer. He has led expeditions around the globe and contributed his findings to publications such as National Geographic,
the Explorers Journal, and Parts Unknown. Fornal currently hosts UNEXPLAINED & UNEXPLORED, a television series about ancient maps that airs on the Discovery and Science Channels.
