Looking for love? Just come to Virginia. In fact, LOVE is everywhere in the Old Dominion. LOVE artwork, that is. There are more than 150 wooden (as well as other mediums) LOVE art installations (called LOVEwork) around the state. And new ones are springing up all the time.
Installations range from the traditional LOVE spelled out in letters to creative interpretations such as the use of racing tires, helmets, and a checkered flag at Richmond International Raceway, musical instruments, and even beach chairs. LOVE signs are typically 16 feet wide and eight feet tall.

Have some beach-inspired fun with the interactive LOVEwork sign in Colonial Beach. The sign sits atop a beach buggy and features flip flops and fish with the Chesapeake Bay as a backdrop. While you’re in the area, check out the hiking and biking trails at Northern Neck Heritage Trail.
