Annual Potomac River Fire/Rescue Parade
September 18 @ 7:30 pm
Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department celebrate its 125th Anniversary with a “Socially Distant” Fire and Rescue Parade.
For safety, the parade will follow a route from Colonial Avenue to Washington Avenue to Boundary Street to Irving Avenue, down to and around The Point and back up Monroe Bay Avenue. Roads WILL NOT be shut down.
We ask that parade viewers remain socially distant and do not gather in big groups Follow CDC guidelines for your protection and the protection of others who may be watching our ride through town. There are plenty of areas to park along the parade route so staying in your vehicle is a viable option to remain socially distant.
There will not be an awards ceremony as is custom after the parade. Any department who wishes to join the parade will meet prior to the event and is free to go after they make their way through the route.
