Memorial Day may be the unofficial kick-off to summer in most places, but in Colonial Beach, Virginia, it’s Potomac River Festival week!

Here are this week’s scheduled events starting TODAY!

Wednesday, June 5

10 am to 5 pm: Pick your own blueberries at Westmoreland Berry Farm. Pre-picked blueberries and blackberries available in the Farm store.
5 pm: Magic Midways Carnival launches with over 40 attractions including rides, kiddie land, games, food courts, face painting, live music, bull riding, raffles,giveaways, dance contests, pie eating, arts and crafts.
6 pm: Evening run/walk with Colonial Beach Running Club, from Colonial Beach Brewing to the Point and back.

Thursday, June 6

10 am to 5 pm: Pick your own blueberries at Westmoreland Berry Farm. Pre-picked blueberries and blackberries available in the Farm store.
5 pm: Magic Midways Carnival with over 40 attractions including rides, kiddie land, games, food courts, face painting, live music, bull riding, raffles,giveaways, dance contests, pie eating, arts and crafts.
6 pm: Trivia at Colonial Beach Brewing

Friday, June 7

10 am to 4 pm: FREE deck tours of the last historic sailing bugeye in the world, the 85-ft, 130-year-old Edna E. Lockwood, a National Historic Landmark owned by Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
10 am to 5 pm: Pick your own blueberries at Westmoreland Berry Farm. Pre-picked blueberries and blackberries available in the Farm store.
1 pm, 2:30 pm, 4 pm: Boat rides with Island Marine & Charter Fishing. 301-536-6392
4 pm: Smoking Hot Blonde blonde ale beer release at Colonial Beach Brewing in honor of Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department Parade. Brewed with smoked grain and smoked serrano peppers–a great balance of spice and smoke.
5 pm: Magic Midways Carnival with over 40 attractions including rides, kiddie land, games, food courts, face painting, live music, bull riding, raffles,giveaways, dance contests, pie eating, arts and crafts.
6-10 pm: Live music performance from singer/songwriter Mariah Jean at Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar.
7 pm: Live music from 2019 Blues Music Award nominee J.P. Soars and the Red Hots at High Tides on the Potomac & Black Pearl Tiki Bar.
7:30 pm: 68th Annual Potomac River Festival Fire/Rescue Parade
7:30 pm: Trivia at Dockside Restaurant & Tiki Bar
8 pm: Miss Colonial Beach Pageant on Town Stage.

Saturday, June 8

6 am: Headboat Bottom Fishing with Island Marine & Charter Fishing. 301-536-6392
8 am: Yard Sale featuring pallets of flowers, a boat, a Volvo and more! St Peter’s Episcopal Thrift Shop.
10 am to 4 pm: FREE deck tours of the last historic sailing bugeye in the world, the 85-ft, 130-year-old Edna E. Lockwood, a National Historic Landmark owned by Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
10 am to 5 pm: 68th Annual Potomac River Festival with vendors, music, activities, fun zone.

12 pm: Grand Feature Parade
12 pm: Magic Midways Carnival with over 40 attractions including rides, kiddie land, games, food courts, face painting, live music, bull riding, raffles,giveaways, dance contests, pie eating, arts and crafts.
1 pm: 1/2 charter available from Reel M N Fishing Charters $250 + tip, up to 6 people, trolling or bottom fishing. 804-224-1400

5 pm: Live music from Nick Ian and the Machine at Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar.
7 pm: Live music from More More More featuring Stephan Scott Lay, former front man for The Reagan Years, at High Tides on the Potomac & Black Pearl Tiki Bar.
8 pm: Live music from Hard To Tell Band at Colonial Beach Brewing.
9 pm: FIREWORKS!
9 pm (after the fireworks): Live music from Kristen and the Noise at Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar.
