Don’t you just love short weeks? The weekend is here again already! Here are some events happening around Town of Colonial Beach. (Check back often as this post is continually updated.)

Start the weekend at 4 pm Thursday in the gazebo beside the Colonial Beach Community Garden and find out what’s in season! Have a lemonade and make new friends with Colonial Beach Outfitters. Buy your own fruits, vegetables, meat, homemade candles, jewely and more at Colonial Beach Farmers Market is held every Friday from 4-7 pm at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Riverboat on the Potomac is having a Keno party to kick off the weekend! Thursday, May 31, from 5-8 pm. Not sure what Keno is? A gambling game similar to playing the lottery in which players choose numbers from 1-80. Twenty numbers are then drawn at random. Riverboat will have food and drink specials and prizes. On Saturday will be live music from The Cat’s Meow at 8 pm and on Sunday, Jimmy Morris performs at 2 pm.

Thursday Trivia at The Tides Inn Market starts at 6 pm. On Sunday, June 3, Chef Caitlin Townsend hosts an Indian Cooking Class.

At High Tides on the Potomac and the Black Pearl Tiki Bar, (CANCELLED: Low Voltage performs 6:30 pm Thursday evening,) Rivrtowne at 7 pm Friday and Biscuit Miller & The Mix on Sunday at 6:30 pm.

Colonial Beach Brewing is holding its first Karaoke Open Mic night, Thursday 7-9 pm. Musicians, singers, comedians, come on down!  DJ Vamp will also be spinning tunes.

Live music is on the menu all weekend at Dockside Restaurant & Tiki Bar. Friday is Hard to Tell Rockabilly & Blues Band from 6-10 pm. Saturday is Indi from 4:30-8:30 pm and JunkFood from 9 pm-1 am. Sunday is Big Rob & Wayne from 11 am to 3 pm and TOUCH’E R&B Band from 3-7 pm.

Help Save The Bay! Aligned with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the 7th Annual Save the Bay Day is June 2, beginning at 8:30 am. Help clean up trash along shorelines and streets in town. Participants will be provided gloves, large neon orange construction trash bags, bottled water and a t-shirt promoting awareness for this event (as available.) Enjoy a hot lunch when finished. Donations welcome.

Shop for bargains at St. Peter’s Episcopal Thrift Shop Anniversary Yard Sale, Saturday from 9 am-1 pm.

For fellowship and fun, stop by the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Free Community Lunch, Saturday from noon-2 pm.

Get your Neil Diamond fix on Sunday when Diamond Heist performs during Colonial Beach Outfitters’ Sunday Funday. Noon-4 pm.  In addition to live music, there will be food trucks, artists, farmers, adult beverages, kids activities and more.

Save the Date! One of CBVA’s biggest events, the 67th Annual Potomac River Festival, hosted by the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce, along with the Firemen’s Parade sponsored by Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department is next week, Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10.
